General Body MeetingsAs of Fall 2022, general-body meetings will be discontinued. Moving forward as an organization, we want to focus on activities, workshops, speakers, and competitive events that will provide students a true purpose to be members of our organization. That being said, any and all activities planned will still occur in coordination with the Lindner College of Business updated COVID protocols and will occur in person!
Events will be hosted on a regular basis, with frequent notifications to our members and on our social media. All events and activities will occur in Lindner, unless otherwise noted, with dates and times provided at least 2 weeks in advance. Make sure to check the 'Events' tab, too, for more updates. |
Workshops
Advanced skill workshops will be held 1-2 times a semester and will focus on teaching UC AMA members specific industry software or job skills required to gain a competitive advantage in the workforce.
Workshop events will be limited to classroom / digital lab space (roughly 50 members) by invitation-only based on active engagement with the organization. Members can expect to learn the basics of a software in 2-3 hours, and whenever possible, a professional certificate. |
Student Marketing AgencyLaunched in the Fall of 2019, the UC chapter of the AMA developed an offset organization known as the AMA Advertising Agency.

Community Involvement
As an organization, we believe in educating our members beyond professional development and Marketing curriculum. Our primary goal by educating members is to provide knowledge and resources of actionable items that they can use to improve themselves and our society.
Within our organization, we have many philanthropic and community improvement initiatives. The initiative that we've been most involved with is bringing awareness towards racial-based, gender-based, sexual-orientation-based, and disability-based inequality. A large part of this initiative has involved our partnership with the Office of Inclusive Excellence, where we have created a series that leads conversation in diversity and inclusivity. In addition to this educational and advocational program that has been highly influential within the University and local community, we also continue to raise money for our surrounding Ohio community by raising money for the Ohio Innocence Project. This will be our third year partnering and raising both money, and awareness, for the Ohio Innocence Project. Further philanthropic and community-improvement projects are in-the-works for the 2022-2023 academic year. |
CompetitionsIn 2020, the UC AMA competed at the AMA International Collegiate Competition in New Orleans. We placed first with our Chapter Plan. We placed second in the Recruitment Video Competition. We received Honorable Mention for the International Case Competition!
