Next Adapts Here.
As we face the “new normal” this year together as a UC community, we believe it is important to remind ourselves the context in which the challenges facing us lie in. The year ahead will be difficult, it will be challenging, and will require adaptability and strength. But, we will get through this, the world will return to normal. When it does, the world will look back, and we'll be able to see who was able to continue to innovate and those who got stuck behind. Through hard work, understanding, and determination this can be the best UC AMA year to date. As a group of individuals who share a drive and a passion to keep growing even in the most confusing times, we are making the world a better place for the future.
The UC AMA strives to create a community of like-minded students. This year, we are introducing fAMAily, a program where every member will fall into a group based on what they want to work on in marketing, and interests. Each group of members will be paired with someone from the exec board. The fAMAily program is to help one another stay connected, for members to feel comfortable to reaching out to exec, and so that we can help our members in their marketing endeavors.
Each fAMAily will be set up with a GroupMe and will be meeting once a month. It will be up to YOUR group to come up with a fAMAily name based off of this years theme: “Think Different” - Brands (each team will have brand name and slogan, this can be a made up brand or an existing brand).
Throughout the year, fAMAilies will be evaluated and will be given awards at the end of the year banquette. Awards to look out for include: The “Erin Kelly Award” this award goes out to the fAMAily with the most participation and retention at each general body chapter event, the “Giving Bearcats Award” this award goes to the fAMAily that raises the most money in our fundraisers for charity, and that shows great efforts to helping others, and finally the “fAMAily of the Year Award." This award goes out to the group that goes above and beyond the typical fAMAily, they meet outside of their required times, attend social events, and are dedicated to working with one another.
